Billing & Payments

What is your refund policy?

K12Path does not issue refunds for subscription payments. All sales are final. We strongly urge you to carefully review the plan details and trial any free features before subscribing. Once payment is processed, you are committed to the subscription period.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Cancel any time from Dashboard → Settings → Manage Subscription. Access to premium features continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for remaining days, but you will not be charged for the next cycle.

Is my payment information secure? Do you store my credit card?

Your payment information is completely secure. K12Path does not store any credit card information on our servers. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest security standard in the payment industry). Card details go directly to Stripe's secure servers; we only receive a confirmation that payment succeeded.

What payment methods do you accept?

Through Stripe we accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) worldwide, plus Apple Pay, WeChat Pay, and Alipay.

What fees does Stripe charge, and who pays them?

Stripe's processing fees are absorbed by K12Path and included in your subscription price — you do not pay any additional Stripe fees. Your bank or card issuer may charge a currency conversion fee if you pay in a non-USD currency; those fees are outside our control.

Curriculum & Apps

Which apps are included?

The current K12Path library includes Phonics (Beginner and Complete), Word Roots, the Family Planner, and the Parent Dashboard. New apps are added regularly and announced to subscribers.

What ages are the apps designed for?

Phonics is best for ages 4–8. Word Roots is aimed at ages 9–17 (SSAT/SAT prep). Family Planner and Parent Dashboard are for parents and apply across all K-12 ages.

Is the content bilingual?

Yes. Every K12Path app supports English and Simplified Chinese, with bilingual hints designed for immigrant households who switch languages at home.

Do you have ads or in-app purchases inside the kid-facing apps?

No. K12Path apps contain no ads, no in-app purchases, and no third-party trackers in the kid-facing experience. The subscription is the only commercial element, and it lives entirely in the parent area.

Account Management

How do I create an account?

Visit the K12Path apps section and click "Sign up." You'll need an email address. Account creation is free; subscription is optional.

Can I add more than one child to my account?

Yes. A K12Path family account supports multiple child profiles, each with their own progress, age range, and recommendations.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

Email support@k12path.com from the address registered to the account. Your account and associated child profiles will be permanently deleted within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Technical

What devices and browsers are supported?

K12Path runs in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — current and previous major versions) on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Some learning apps perform best on tablets due to screen size.

Do K12Path apps work offline?

Most apps require an internet connection so progress can sync across devices. Selected apps offer limited offline practice; check the app's information page.

Something isn't working — what should I do?

Try a hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows). If that doesn't help, email support@k12path.com with the device, browser, and a screenshot if possible.

Monitoring & Progress

What does the Parent Dashboard show?

Time on task, mastery curves per skill, books read, words learned, and streaks. The dashboard intentionally avoids vanity metrics like coins or leaderboard rankings.

Can two parents share access?

Yes. The family plan supports multiple adult logins, all with full visibility into the dashboard.

Privacy & Data

Do you sell my family's data?

No. K12Path does not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is K12Path COPPA compliant?

Yes. K12Path is designed for family use; children's accounts are created and managed by a parent. We collect the minimum data necessary to deliver the Service and never use children's data for advertising.

Where is my data stored?

Data is stored on infrastructure operated by reputable providers in North America. All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+ and at rest by industry-standard encryption.
